Below our some of the highlights of our trip. To see all the pictures, click on the first three images to see a slideshow. You will need to allow about 45 to 60 seconds for the slideshow to appear. Once the slideshow appears, you can click on the background images and bring them to the forefront. You'll see what I mean. It's real neat.

Lillian & Bob at the White River National Forest just north of Camp Hale where the 10th Mountain Infantry trains.

Warmimg up by the fireplace at Nova's Lodge.

That's Bob and Tucker the tour guide dog.

Lillian ready to order at the Campo Fiori Restaurant in Vail Village. Very nicely decorated and great food. The server could have been better but because it's such a nice place and the food is so great, the place is very busy.

Vail is a HAIR RAISING  Experience!

Dog Sledding in -5 degree weather and Loving it! Click on image to see video of us, the dogs and our driver, Drew. Check out Drew's mustache.

We took a ride on this Snow Cat. Lots of fun. Our driver was Steve, the owner of NOVA Expeditions. He is a true gentleman. Though the Snow Cat can sit up to 12 people we were the only ones on the ride. Along with us came Steve's dog Tucker who had a lot fun and we enjoyed tremendously. We went up to about 10,000 feet in elevation through blinding snow in warm comfort.

Believe it or not, this is Lillian under all those winter clothes. Click on image to see a snow fight.

All of Vail Village is decorated for Christmas. There is no car traffic and the roads are heated to melt the snow and ice.

Lillian on her Snowmobile. Click on image to see video of Lillian Snowmobiling.

We got a Sleigh Ride frm Charlie the Belgian horse at Cordillera

We endured -17 degree cold weather but 5 layers of clothing kept us toasty warm. Click on image to see all photos of the dog sledding adventure.

One of the highlights of the trip was meeting up with old time friend Phil Horacio Ledon, a local here in Vail. Horacio and I have known each other for over 40 years. I had not seen him in 15 years but it's as if it was yesterday.
